About Me
Hi, I’m Amy Beaver, an Independent Educational Consultant with a passion for helping students navigate the often overwhelming college application process with confidence, clarity, and a sense of calm.
I’m a graduate of the University of Florida with a degree in Communications and earned my Certificate in College Counseling from UCLA. Since 1998, I’ve called the Atlanta area home, and for the past few years, I’ve worked closely with students and families to provide personalized, thoughtful guidance as they prepare for college.
In my practice, I believe that the “right” college isn’t necessarily the highest-ranked one, but the one where a student will thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. I help students explore schools that are the best fit across multiple dimensions: academics, campus culture, mental well-being, and more.
Whether your student is just starting high school or knee-deep in applications, my goal is to take some of the pressure off families and bring structure, support, and strategy to the process. I provide an encouraging, non-competitive environment that focuses on fit over prestige, and growth over perfection.
Outside of educational consulting, I also work as a professional voice actor...a creative outlet that’s sharpened my communication skills and ability to connect with others in meaningful ways. While these two careers may seem unrelated, both are rooted in understanding people, telling stories, and helping others present their best, most authentic selves.
When I’m not reviewing college essays or building application timelines, you can find me behind the mic in my recording booth, walking my dogs, or singing in a community choir.
